To Succeed University Graduates Must Avoid This World Wide Human Problem

This is a big one.

You know very well that getting life solutions is very easy right? There is so much knowledge, tools, ideas and information around. The internet has made things even much easier than before and Google has brought all sorts of solutions around, solutions for achieving almost anything. Lack of access to knowledge is no longer an absolute problem.

Here is the actual problem. The problem according to Simon Bere is, for some strange reasons, we struggle to take what we learn, or what we get and go and apply it in real life. I have had so many authors, many of whom have sold millions worth of their books, but complain that when they follow up on those who have bought their books, they realize that a tiny proportion actually use what the author shares to make a difference in their own personal lives.

Having been also involved in organizing seminars and workshops and solutions, I meet this problem very often. People come to my seminars and workshops, or listen to my ideas when I share them through various platforms including radio. They comment that they get some great ideas, great tools, or great insights and they enjoy the seminars, workshops and the other programs, but I also notice that few actually commit themselves to using what they get. The result is that nothing much changes.

Many of us are real knowledge acquisition machines. Our minds and computer hard drives are full of e-books audios and what not, but they are not using the material to make changes in their lives. Most have never even read much of the audios. They just get the comfort that they have the material with them. They go on looking for the secret to success and to achieving their goals by getting more and more information, reading more and more books but without applying what they find in those books. Nothing will change if there is no application.

Then we also have some, who, when people come to them with some help, with some possibilities and options, they become cynical and dismiss those people. They think, in their own minds, that they know everything already and if they have no solution to a problem them no one else has that solution. The truth is great solutions and great breakthroughs for our lives often come from the people and sources that we least expect. One of the greatest secrets to success I know is very simple; be open-minded enough to try things out even when you are the chances of failure exist. Many people in positions of leaders fall prey to this; they always want be hundred percent certain that they are correct and with that they miss great opportunities for breakthroughs. People you do not know, something you have never tried, an idea or concept completely new and no else has ever used; these are the best sources for breakthroughs.
In summary;
  1. Learn everything you can and apply as much as you learn
  2. Be open minded to accept ideas and advice from different sources and different people
  3. Guard against obsessive skepticism and cynicism. Never dismiss suggestions, people and solutions on face value, especially just on the grounds that you have never heard about the solution or the person.
  4. It is better to read a little and apply as much as possible of the little you learn than to read too much staff without applying what you get.
  5. Always have the mindset that there are always solutions to every challenge we face as people and our job is to keep looking for the solutions.
